1) Deck Bar (Deck 23) Dee Why Beach
Get down to the Deck Bar at Dee Why Beach: have some lunch and a few beers whilst watching the Footy on the big screen. Great staff, great locals and a stunning location, with awesome views of Long Reef and Dee Why Beach. Upstairs is a restaurant, or downstairs is informal and fun. In the evenings there is usually a talented musician pumping out relaxing tunes as you sip your favourite cold tipple.

Visit the Deck Bar website here
2) Narrabeen Golf Driving Range
Whether you can swing or not you are always welcome at the golf driving range Narrabeen. The friendly staff will assist and support you and their undercover booths will keep you dry on rainy days like today. You can have lessons there and improve your game no end with their cutting edge video technology.

Visit the Narrabeen Golf Driving Range website here
3) Mountain Biking at Manly Dam
If you haven't yet you have to and if you have before why not get down there this arvo? There are many trails and tracks to suit all abilities. It is great fun when wet as many tracks turn into streams and it is more challenging, wet, muddy and fun.

Visit the Northern Beaches Mountain Biking Group's website here
4) BBQ!
Why not invite the team around for a bbq? One Pom here at Sportsmassive says that whenever you have a bbq over in Pomgolia it always rains. A nice and easy activity this one and if you have a roof over your balcony or patio then it's "too easy" and a dry activity.
Here is a photo of a typical Pommie bbq taken from the mother country (I bet the Pom's miss these days...)

If you do not have a bbq they only cost one or two bucks from Coles or Woolies:

5) Get over to Brookie Oval tomorrow!
The sun is supposed to shine tomorrow and the mighty Sea Eagles are playing Canberra's Raiders at Brookvale. Get down there and support the boys!
How about David Wolfman Williams' cover tackle last week! haven't seen it? Check it out below:
Have a great weekend!
Wolfman - what a dead set legend. Poms - irritating (always pasty looking with sunburnt noses.) The Deck Bar is a bloody good bar - dont tell everyone it will get ruined!! ;)
ReplyDeleteBrookvale are a bunch of posers. They wouldnt want to play in the rain because they would get too wet. Boo Hoo Brookvale - girls.
ReplyDeleteAvalon RSL is where to go on a rainy day - it goes off!!
ReplyDeleteSee you there.
Avalon are a bunch of grommets. Sheltered up there in the hills with webbed feet like people from Woy Woy - Avalon RSL is similar to Budgewoi RSL - inbreds everywhere - no thanks Trent!
ReplyDeleteYour a muppet Moogle - see you in the car park
ReplyDeleteI am not that way inclined Dave. I have heard about what you guys get up to in the car park at Avalon. I suppose it is better than bheing asked to see you in the ring... Soft cocks.

ReplyDeleteAv should play their ressies in first grade and 'Handel's Messiah' - they might win a game...
ReplyDeletei know what i do when its raining....lock myself indoors with blankets over the windows, set up some trance music, dress up in mummies dress and get stuck into some pingers with my boyfriend and go for it...and we never call it off if it gets too wet!!!

I have just returned from a jog around Nolans and I must say it is lie a lake. It brings open the debate of synthetic fields. They have started erecting them for Football NSW and down in Vic too. i sayit is the way to go. the only problem is sharing it with the cricket / lack of space here on the Northern Beaches. We will see...
