MWFA Premier League Results Sat April 3rd 2010

Its is the first round of the MWFA Premier League today.

The results are coming in - please leave results in the comments field and then we can all learn who did what...

    Manly Vale v Beacon Hill
    Res
    MV 1 - 1 BH
    MV 1 - 2 BH

    Both games were tight.

    Reserves
    In reserves it was a fair result. Male did hit the bar twice in the second half and equalised later on in the game, so BH might feel a little dented to concede so late in the game. Fair the result was all the same.

    1st Grade
    Vale went ahead after about 10 mins. BH put the pressure on and were ver strong, however Vale played strong too and matched BH. BH deserved their equaliser, probably their 2nd too. You couldnt help thinking that a 2nd for Vale was coming and they put on a great attack in the last 10 mins, to no avail.

    Will it be a long season for the Vale? We shall just have to see. A few bookings and one red card for a 1st grade BH player for lashing out after he was fouled. A pretty clean game other than that.

    I think Wakehurst lost both grades against strikers: res went down 3 - 0 I think..? 1st grade 1-0. Again I am not 100% sure but me thinks that was the case?

    A few players out for the tigers and strikers are bnever easy to beat. Vale were unlucky against them in the cup last week mind...

    Vale wre unlucky today. A draw in both grades would have been a fair result. Thats why we love football though!!

    HSU Reserves 5 - 2 Brookvale Reserves

    A really good competitive game for the first hour with the Brooky Keeper making some great saves. HSU ran away with it in the last 30mins with a few quick goals.

    HSU 1 - 1 Brookvale

    On another day HSU could have won 6 - 1 with the Brookvale keeper making some great saves, 2 open goals missed and varous chances going begging.
